Just about ready to start a Toyota conversion..I have a pump but have purchased nothing else..It occurred to me that the frame is taller on a 3/4 in some areas and I'm questioning if that will affect this installation..Anyone know if the drag link and pitman are the same? That might shed some light on this.

Thanks,

Keith

If you are talking about an AD truck, I believe that the front springs are the same so there is hope!

I am not absolutely positive, but If I remember correctly, the 1/2 ton parts are smaller. The 3/4 and the one ton may be the same.

From what I've seen, 1/2-1 ton are the same on the TF trucks. at least every one I've seen matched mine for size.

Thanks Long-

I know the frames are different-3/4 ton is taller-at least in some sections. Not sure if that increases the distance from the hole that the box shaft comes thru to the steering arm . I probably will just have to try it. I'll also aske CPP.

That shouldn't make a difference, the suspension mounting points are the same, as is the steering geometry. Also, the 3200 1/2 tons use the same chassis as the 3/4, just with lighter axles.

I wasn't trying to say that they aren't longer or shorter, but just that the drag link is of a larger diameter in the 3/4 ton. The pitman arm ( mounts to the steering box) is identical.
It is too many years ( 39 ) since I did this swap to remember, but like Bill says, the geometry doesn't change.
