Is it as easy as lifting it onto the sawhorses (with the engine hoist) and taking the rear cover off to get to the gears. Then on to disassembling per the book.
Any suggestions or recommendations?

I've placed orders in at a couple of places and I've been waiting for about 3 months now and haven't recieved @#$t.  I was wondering if anyone out there ordered reciently from somewhere and recieved there gears in a timely fashion? If they don't have them then just start calling everyone you can think of that sells parts for your truck. You may luck out and find a set. There have been others looking for them also. I would call all the suppliers & maybe one of them has some left. I went through this with the ones for the 55 up for 2 years, then all of a sudden they started calling me. Everyone had them. By then I had put in a T-5 & didn't need them.
