on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 18 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 18 | While searching for another heavy chevy grill, a '57 grain truck showed up for sale for $500 local.
I know the fenders are wider, but what about the rest of the body? Inner fenders, radiator support, parts of the cab....
I wondering what will work on a 1/2 ton?

I don't know of any other body parts that will fit. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 1,276 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 1,276 | When I tried to put a pick-up truck grill in my 56 6100 I found that the grill opening in my 6100 is 5 1/2" wider and 2 1/2" taller than its little brother, the grills will not interchange. I don't know about the core support but yes all the cab stuff is the same with the exception of the LCF trucks. The hood is the same between the TF big bolts and the little one again with the exception of the LCF trucks and a slight differance between 56 and 57 body lines on the hood.

We just got it to the farm tonight. I mainly wanted the grill, firewall, dash, floor, inner fenders, and core support. The motor is bad as you can see the hole in the pan pushing out. Bed looks good has had steel plate added. I forgot to take pics but it has some low back buckets. Have no clue what they came from but they look era correct but have been raised with blocks. I like them and they flip forward so they will work in my panel. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v179/ovaljed/panel%20truck/grain%20truck/
