I just got a new bed kit from Mar-K and I have put it together to make sure it all fits and have taken it apart. Now the question is how do you paint it.I have 52 3600 long bed that I'm restoring to be as close as I can make it as It was when it left the Baltimore plant in April of 52 that said were the parts painted separate then put together. Or was it assembled less the floor and painted I'm thinking the later because on the orginal bed the bed sides were welded to the rear cross sill. Also what color are the center cross sills were they unpainted or the black primer And were the fenders bolted on lose so they could painted together so the paint would match. and if so are the clutch head fender bolts zinc or the color of the bed also the front panel bolts painted or zinc also the bolts that that go though the angle strip painted or zinc.I've gotten square nuts and the right size fender washer to assemble the bed floor to keep orginal so any help from the group will be greatly appreciated thanks Paul
