I am going to go see a 235 that will be taken out of a 1955 belair this weekend. He is swapping to a crate 350. The Engine has supposedly 66,000 niles since rebuild. I am thinking of replacing my 216. Any Idea of worth of the 235?

see if you can drive the car first. do a compression test as that will tell quite a bit about the engine.

A 54 234 is listed on EBay, starting bid is 100.00, auction ends on May 3rd. Seller claims it came out of a 54 vet, nono and it comes with a 2 speed powerglide.
With the one you're looking at, I wouldn't offer more than 200.00 if it ran and had good compression.
