I spent this weekend re assembling the nose on my 53. It was a bear of a job. Can't wait to take it all apart again for paint once the body work is done.

Take a look at my webshots page. Album labeled frontend reassembly. Just a testfit really but I hate to take her apart again.

Rich

Hi Rich, I had a look at your pics. It's lookin' good!
I've got all that to look forward to.
The scary part wil be trying to re-assemble it after paint big_eek
I saw your other webshots re; Rust repair! I'm amazed at the extent you folks go to! I realise how good my truck is when I see these! (Originally a Ca. truck.)
Good luck and I look forward to seeing the finished item! thumbs_up I'll make sure mine is well protected against our lovely Scottish climate! * Jock.

I sent my gallery submission a few nights ago. There's still a way to go! Suprisingly little rust for a 58 year old grin
The truck that is not me!! thumbs_up The guy who sold me it had 'red leaded' the whole truck. I was a bit wary incase it was covering up any horrors big_eek Thankfully my fears have been unfounded thumbs_up Jock

rust bucket,
you have some pretty nice fitting sheet metal there, congratulations! The door fit is quite amazing. You are going to have one very good looking truck when you are done.

Unfortunetly test fitting sheetmetal is a nessacary evil. Can't remember how many times I did it!
I always left the hood on until it came time to paint, that's the biggest PITA to do by yourself.

The fit is quite good. And now you already have any shimming fiqured out which will make the after paint fit a little easier.Just remember to use alot of edge tape.

wish we all had your UK wallet. Ca. vehicles are expensive. You people have been buying them up like crazy and raising the value of whats left. Most of us work on what we can afford, and that sometimes means doing rust repair.
