I would like to remove the steering column out of my '50 1/2 ton (4 speed), which has a bad steering box and replace it with a steering column from a '54 1/2 ton, which has a good steering box. I also want to retain the '50 steering wheel.

Can anyone tell me whether or not these two steering columns are identical or close enough so that the swap would be a good one.?
