I have a 60-66 short bed that I plan to use on the 58. I noticed that it does not line up very well for the crossmembers or bolt holes.( one is on top of the shocks)
I have to order all new strips for the bed. I was panning on ordering the 1958 strips and modifying the placement of the x-members to match a 58 layout.
I could either do the wood in 58 or 60 type style widths. I think I would be better off drilling the xmembers to the correct 1958 wood placement.
Does this make sense?
