For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 28 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 28 | well, i took the valve cover off the other night and found a bent push rod, so now i've got the head off and am going to rebuild it................ In the mean time i'm going to try to get the brakes working. I was just wondering if anyone has any tips or warnings that i should be aware of! first off i'm just going to try and bleed the system and see if that does the trick. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | Does your brake system have a hydrovac unit? If it does, be sure to follow the bleeding procedures described in the Shop Manual. | | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 28 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 28 | i think if does........ guess i better find a shop manual! | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | .
