In my never ending quest for fuel economy, I am considering having a T-5 built for my '61 Apache 10, with 235cid, and stock 3.90 rear end. I have a Borg Warner OD unit ready to go in, but found that a T-5 could be cobbled together that would give me a .63 OD. Using the calculators at Randy's, that should have the engine turning 2150 R.P.M. at 75 mph. My questions, is this to little RPM to be truly efficient for the power curve of the 235? Could I get even crazier and install a 3.55 ring and pinion as well, to get to 1950 R.P.M.? Only mods to the motor are Pertronix ignition and coil upgrade, and a two bbl holley/weber carb from Langdon. Thanks to all for your opinions. Tony
