Hey folks,

I hope this is the right forum for this question...

I was going through some of the stuff that came with my truck and found out that I have a pair of Chevy hubcaps, but... I don't know what they came off of!! So I, all too gladly, got my digital camera out and took a picture of one of the hubcaps, and thought I would ask here and see if any of you guys might know what it came off of...

The one pictured has some dents in it, but it otherwise in very good condition. The other one is almost perfect, aside from some rust stains on the back.

And... seeing as I don't really need them, if anyone is interested in them, just make me an offer!! :-)

The hubcap looks like it's from a '54 Chevy car. The plain jane model - I think it's the 150 model?

wbrowne has it right, but they'd prolly fit any 15" truck wheel with the clips

It looks like a wheel cover rather than a hubcap [I'm wrong - see below]. In 1953/54, the passenger car wheel cover was a GM accessory, except on the Bel Air model. The cover above is not the 1954 truck accessory wheel cover.

These are supposedly the 1954 style wheel covers.

This is supposedly the 1953 Bel Air wheel cover.

Tim, not a wheel cover, but a center cap [called poverty caps back then on the cheaper models], identical to what I linked above .... good ref site

Thanks, Bill.

You're right about the good link. It looks like the CT54 HC Chevy. A hub cap (center cap), not a wheel cover.

Thanks for the information!! I had no idea. I found out that these hubcaps actually came on a 1960 Apache 10 that was bought by my uncle in the early '90's.

(Of course, I know that they were on it incorrectly.)

The hub cap looks original but the wide trim rings are not standard equpment and I have not seen them listed as a GM accessory.

However, that wide trim ring with the hub cap does look real nice.

Maybe someone knows of a source for reproduction/modern after-market wide trim rings?

they're not standard original nor options, so all you'll find here will be guesses and yours is as good as ours - check with this guy
