Ok almost done with the drop axle. I got it from Droppedaxles.com (SID). I got the newer ball joints for the long steering bar that is behind the axle. My ? is about the steering link from the steering box to the arm on the drivers side. The new arm has a solid hole in it, the old arm has a ball on the end that goes into the stock steering link.

Im trying to finish this install tomorrow so all the help will be appreciated.

here is the steering arm im talking about still connected to the old curved arm. You can see the ball inside coming from the curved arm and in the straight arm.

BTW, it's preferred that you link pix in, rather than putting them directly in the postings. Linking them saves on bandwidth and also allows 'Bolters that are not on hi-speed to see your pix easier.

ok after reading that, is there any direct replacement disc brakes that I can put on the stock spindles? i want to keep 5 lug as its easier to get wheels.

Why are you changing the steering arms? (That's the arm attached to the spindle and backing plate) You should've
been able to use the stock arms and the stock drag link
(the straight bar that connects the steering arm to the
pitman arm on the steering box) It sounds to me like you have a later model steering arm that takes a drag link like LONGBOX55
has linked to.
You can either use the newer style drag link or as you said,
you can buy a new ball and have it pressed in and use your
stock drag link.

im changing it because of the new pieces SID sent me are set up for tie rod ends.
