I have been looking aroung the bone yards and in the paper seen several around 200-300 bucks. What do I need to look for to make sure its a good one? Most of them are already out of the car so its hard to test drive one. Question two, is it better to goahead and pay the extra money and get one from BCM or TCI? Iam wanting a pretty stout small block 350 or 383 on it. As always thanks for your help!

The older 700's aren't near as good as the newer. With the rebuilds from the big boys you get all the latest features. I don't know about the costs, but it's at least worth a look. There are quite a few websites out there on the 700's, some have been posted here. Do some searching and find out.
