Looking to by clifford 4bb intake to do TBI on my 261. Is clifford the only place to buy there intake or can you get a better pice from some one like summit or speedway ? They don't show them at there web stores. Thinking some on should have a better price. Anyone bought one ?

I got mine from Jim Carter last December when they were having their 25% off sale. It's still sitting on the bench waiting for the engine.

My suggestion: Start looking and writing down prices.

i guess i got lucky, i just purchased off another truck forum for $500 a clifford 2/4bbl aluminum intake manifold, 4bbl adapter and a set of clifford tube headers. All were used once and then taken off the motor when the original motor was pulled and replaced with a sbc. now just waiting for them to be delivered to my door step, then im looking at purchasing a holley 390 carb from summit and a hei distributor to help burn the extra fuel the engine will be getting.

this is what i got

eBay
but it may take you several months and be sure you get what it is you need
hot water heated or non water heated jacket.
you may have to buy an adapter plate for four barrel carbs and phenolic gasket so heat does not effect your carb. just about any rod or 'flaps' store will have the gasket/ separator/

I found this site that sells performance parts, but I have yet to buy anything from them:

http://www.34-chevy.com/

click on Chevy/GMC hotrod parts, and there is a list of sections on the left, intake manifolds and carbs is about half way down that list:

http://prostores1.carrierzone.com/s...se-Intake-Manifolds-and-Carbs/Categories

There's lots of useful looking stuff on there if you have the chance to nose around.

Drummin-I almost bid on the same on Ebay-A guy from CT where I live was selling them-I went to Clifford to run down the application but got the info too late..They were the long headers which I really want...Clifford doesn't offer them any more..I like the idea of the headers going all the way underneath the truck and then a right angle...giving you a clear shot to the back...

Larrowe stuff looks nice-his intake price is exactly the same as Clifford-

Anybody here that has done the Clifford thing? Results? Don't mean to hijack this thread..Interesting subject to me..

Thanks,

Keith

Want to get intake and headers like drummin52 got. Hope they work good. Have a TBI setup from a 4.3 to put on it. Have any of you done this ? Was going to do two one barrel TBIs on two carb intake but don't have time to waste on it. So just going with 2BB TBI on 4BB intake. Might have to do custom chip. Running 261/corvette cam and 848 head. 9 to 1 comp.
