I have not dash lights, no left turn signal, but hte flaser is working. All new bulbs. cleaned all connections. I am at a loss now. Any ideas on what I may be over looking before I buy a new harness?

My guess. The left turn is not related to the dash problem. It is probably a bad lamp.
The dash lights may go through a dimmer (rheostat) on the headlight switch. It's either dirty/cruddy or broken in two.
It looks like there is a fuse in your fuse box that says 'panel lights'. Is this the dash lights. Do you get voltage on both sides of the fuse? This is probably before the dimmer so It only proves there is power going to the headlight switch.

I also know that only one headlamp works constantly. the other only works when the harness is wiggled. I got to messing around with everything again,and now when I turn the left signal on they both come on like hazzards. The head lamp switch is new so that rules out the dimmer. My dome light works though. Thanks for the reply back

I have enclosed a dash wiring schematic for a '66 truck. It might help you sort out your gremlins. If I read the diagram correctly, it appears the power comes from the light switch, through the fuse and a connector then on to the panel lights. This makes it easier to check the voltage at the fuse. If you have it there, it has made it through the light switch and the 'open' is further downstream. I have voltage going through, i also checked the ground. I think i need to take it to a specialist.
