Anyone know the differences between a 3/4 ton standard and 1/2 ton spindle on a 41-46 Chevy?
Do any of the parts interchange between the two axles?
Looking through my 41 manual it looks like the front section of the chassis are identitical on the 3/4 ton standard and the 1/2 ton. If the parts don't interchange it would seem like an entire 1/2 ton assembly could just bolt on to a 3/4 ton? | | |

so it sounds like I might have a chance then! I am going to do some measuring tonight and check out that manual some more. maybe if I post some pictures one of you 1/2 tonners out there can help me do an online comparison.

If you need measurements or an axle, I have a 42-46 3/4 ton axle with steering knuckles laying on the garage floor.
A good source for axles is your local restoration/hot rod shop. | | |
