I've got a truck with a missing tag and I would like to find the original serial # | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | . Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 | Not that I know of. And I have completely stripped and looked over every inch of the frame on my 48 2 ton.

I thought this topic was close so I am posting it here. I just purchased a 1.5 ton A-D truck. It was sold to me as a 1949, but upon looking at it I don't think it is because it has vent windows. I went looking in my LMC catalog and it only tells you how to read 1/2&3/4 ton truck serial#. the truck is up north and i don't have access to it. so can someone give me a breakdown of the various # and letters | | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 4,959 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 4,959 | Some models GMC had a serial number on the frame on the passenger side right behind the front spring hanger. I am not sure what year models had this. | | |
