AD truck? I was thinking about welding the top and bottom trim to the grill and using a small piano hinge and and a glove box hinge to flip it down. I figure with some speaker cloth in the grill you won't be able to see the radio. I have an extra grill to play with. Any ideas?

Im mounting mine behind the glovebox door,I purchased a new lock & pushbutton, Im sure your idea will also work with some fabrication.

I may mount the radio in the glove box and put a small insert in the speaker hole to hold CDs and other small stuff out of the line of sight. I think I can make the flip down door bolt to the lower origional mounting holes and put some rubber bmmpers in the top holes.

We use a remote control. We built a box with speakers and the radio mounted in the box.Wife covered it with vinyl to match our battery box and valuable box all behind the seat. I have alot of time to think about it while I do the other thousands of things I have to do first. Unless I want to sit in the garage and listen to the radio and make motor noises. I was just wondering if anyone else had used that area for anything else. It was a great location for a speaker hooked to an AM radio. You can get great sound from good speakers even that close. Most of my radio listening consist of PRM news and talk shows. Not the most demanding audio content.
