I seem to remember an old post where Carbking recommended a Carter YF model 964S as an update. Just wondering if any of you guys have done this and if so how much of an improvement was there over the W-1.
My carb needs to be rebuilt so I'm considering updating to a YF.

Don't see why it wouldn't work on the 216. I've just recently gotten an auto choke YF to replace the Rochester B on my 235. We'll see how it works.

A Carter YF 2100 has a larger separation. Carbking did start a definitive thread on the YF including the bolt-to-bolt distances.
1948 3/4-Ton 5-Window Flatbed Chevrolet 34 Years. Now with a '61 261, 848 head, Rochester Monojet carb, SM420 4-speed, 4.10 rear, dual reservoir MC, Bendix up front, 235/85R16 tires, 12-volt w/alternator, electric wipers and a modern radio in the glove box.
