I've made a few cosmetic changes to the 'ol 470, in the last week. Gave it a bath, added a few chrome accessories, added a set of NOS Guide turnsignals, & re-painted the bumper, & splash panel it's original black. It looks great. How tall is the cab? It looks like it is really up there.

Thanks, For the compliments. It stands just a tad, under 8 1/2 ft. tall. My 450 COE is 8ft. 2"in., & this 470, is 8ft. 4"in.

Spanky,

My 450 COE is 7'11 and 1/2" so my garage door opening will not run into the truck. I never measured the truck height before I did a frame transplant but I am gald that it is within about 4 inches of the original height.

By the way, what ever all of us COE owners have...you are terminal my friend. If I had that many COE's in my back yard I would be living in one of them right now if I was fortunate enough not to have already lost my backyard. Before I was married my back yard was full of 1972 4x4's until be built a new house.

I glad there is an expert and collector on these trucks. Some of up here like to preserve them in a different way.

Dallas, I used to keep my trucks, on a vacant lot, owned by my family, in the next town over, across the street, from my mother, & grandmothers house. Before they sold the land (3 years ago), for around twenty years, I'd have anywhere between 6-12 trucks, there at a time. All '47-'55 COE's, & '55-'66 LCF's. I started thinning the herd, a few years ago, & up until recently always kept between 3-5 parts trucks, out in the country. Now, I just have the three here at home, & 1 parts truck, out in the country.
