I have a Canadian manufactured 1954 Chev model 1543 truck that I need to sell. Although it breaks my heart I am starting a new business and could use the money. It was made in Oshawa Ontario Canada and I have all of the authorization on the truck from Chev in Canada including a service manual, an origional maintenance manual and some advertising material. The truck was origionally sold to a fire dept. in Chacateauguay, QB as a pumper truck so it has less than 15,000 miles on it. New front tires, very good rears, breaks overhauled and working good; generally speaking the unit is in very good condition. Anyone have any ideas as to the value?

There are a lot of variables that would determine the value. Guys would have to see it or at least see pictures to have a fair idea. Amount of rust is the basic consideration. I am not familiar with what a model 1543 is but The Old Car Price Guide quote GUIDE gives #4 condition $4300. #3 cond. $9680 on a 1/2 ton. #4 $4000 & #3 $9000 on a 3?4 ton. & a little less on 1 ton.I hope that will help you a bit.
