OK, I remember seeing this posted once, but at that time I did not have this problem and did not pay attention.
So, I need someone to refresh my brain.
On the 235 HP engine, my oil pressure starts out at about 14psi cold, then, when I drive it for 20 to 30 minutes, it falls to about 3 - 4 psi.
Is this normal??????
Then, next day, we start this process all over.
Help!

Is this a dipper 235 or a pressure 235?

3-4 seems a bit low for the dipper engine, I think at least 8 is good for that engine.

The pressure 235 needs at least 20.

If it is the dipper engine, it should be up around 14 or so at higher revs. At idle it can get down below 7 lbs. When it is first started, the pressure will be higher for maybe a minute or so. That is until the oil warms up.
