does any one have any idea what goes in the 2 openings in the dash of my 26 truck

I think the people on the VCCA website could give you a detailed answer and photos. There are also members here with 26 Chevy trucks in the Gallery. If you look at Ebay item #260220546741
you will see an example of a 1926 sedan, dashboard photos and all. I am betting that the two dashes are almost the same.

The 1926 trucks used the same instruments as the 1925-26 model late Superior V car.

34 & 35 trucks are the greatest
