I'm taking the cable and Edelbrock off my 58 Chevy Apache and putting the stock linkage and Rochester 4GC back on. Not sure how it is supposed to be bolted on there. Can somone show me a picture of the linkage on their firewall?? Thanks

I can try to get a photo tomorrow. They are confusing. If you buy the kit it does not cone assembled like it goes in the truck for some reason, maybe save space in shipping or the manufacture just doesn't know. If I can get a photo tomorrow I will e-mail it to you.

on a 58 w/ 2bbl 283 [click "full size" on the right of the pic] ... I believe it's shown in the assembly manual also ... kind of hard to get a good pic when it's all up, but the 58-9 have the mounting holes on the firewall in the right place, just needs to be bolted on with the pedal end poked in the hole, then the threaded rod hooked to the carb

Thanks Wrenchbender. After I figured out that it was not shipped assembled like it goes on the truck I was at a loss to figure it out.

Bill,

Do you know if the linkages is different for the 2 and 4 barrel carbs? I'm guessing it would be the same, but I'm not sure.

That helps. At least I know I have the vertical part and bracket on correctly. I should be able to figure the rest out. I may need to bend this sucker some.

carb shouldn't make any difference Lucky, but yes, the threaded rod could easily be modified to fit if required

Sent you a PM with my work email in it. Hope that works. This is a vexing problem.
