I thought I took a photo of this before I tore down my engine but cannot find it and cannot figure out where the lines run and where the oil pressure line to the dash attaches to the engine. Thanks. Not the best shot but I happen to have it on file. The side hose goes towards to rear while the bottom hose heads south towards right above the oil pan. The FROM filter inlet (see previous pic) goes to the bottom of the oil filter with a short hose, the long hose goes between the TO filter outlet and the side of the oil filter.
I lost the T connection part and had to buy a new one (from the hose shop that made my oil lines). I couldn't find one with the same fitting as my oil sensor, so I had to cut the line and add a different compression fitting. | | |

There is what the manual calls an oil distributor which is right between the two freeze plug holes in the block. This has an outlet (threaded hole) in it. Then there are the inlet and outlet holes pictured above. The guy that rebuilt my engine ran a small copper tube in a loop shape from the outlet in the oil distributor to another threaded hole in the block. I don't remember this when I took the engine out. Anyone with a 216 with an oil filter? Would appreciate some help | | |
