Are the horns that are mounted on the engine valuable or the one's mounted in the grill? Or are they supposed to be mounted on the grill at all?

JDL, my 54's horn is mounted on the grill, as have been other 54's that I've seen. The earlier AD's were mounted on the manifold. As far as value, I know that I've seen them on Ebay for not to much money.

Oh, cause I was down under my truck looking at the tranny, or trying to, to get it unstuck out of third, and lifted my head and found two horns mounted on the bottom of my grill. Koolkar told me that the ones on the manifold were more valuable.

Jordan,

The 1954 single horn or dual horns were mounted on front side of the radiator mounting frame (not under the grill). Here are the mounting instructions.

The possums are gone. Now, tclederman, that link doesn't work. But, I get your point. I also now know that what you said is true, because I didn't really mean "under", but I saw that they were in between the bars.

Jordan, what transmission does your truck have? Is it a 3-Speed with a column-mounted shifter? If so, you should find a couple of levers down at the end of the steering column that you should be able to access and manipulate just by raising the hood. If that unit is worn to where there is a little slop or play in the [censored] and you happen to let the clutch out without having the gearshift all the way into a gear it will hang up and you cannot move the gear shift.

3 speed on the column. I can't seem to get the levers to move, although I know that it does shift.

Well, it comes up in another tab, with the address and everything, but the screen where words are supposed to be is white, and the bar at the bottom of my screen says "Done".

Its a pdf file that gets downloaded into your computer and can then be read with Adobe Reader. Your web browser can be configured with the free Adobe Reader plug-in to read the file in the web browser.
