Im going to have to replace the stock three on the tree in my 51 1/2 ton.Iwant to replace it with the same thing.What all years will be the same? Are all 3/4 tons floor shift?If i cant find a 3 on the tree will a floor shift from a 3/4 ton be a straight bolt up with out monkeying around with the drive shaft? Thanks,Ron.

Late 47-54 will fit. I believe the 4 speed will fit but the floor cover is different. It,s not a good idea. It is heavy & awkward to r&r. 1st gear is geared so low it,s not good for much. 3 speeds shouldent be hard to find or are not to hard to rebuild.

Check your side plate cover and your linkage. The side plates wear and the linkages get out of alignment. Replaced a transmission in the snow thirty years ago just to find out it was a worn side plate cover, learned the hard way. I was on my way from being discharged from the CG and I had no other choices.
