my 52 came without a splash apron between the front bumper and fenders , i have purchased a new chrome one and bumper Ill probably mount this weekend.
So any tips would be Appreciated .
How much clearance should I have between apron and fenders when apron is installed so it does not rub the fenders when it flexes is my #1 worry ~?????
ANY other tips or life expieriences will be great !!!

The location of the splash apron is determined by the bumper/brackets. I know when I finally got mine togeather I had about 1/2" space between apron and grille/fenders. For safety just tape some cardboard on the edges where they might hit. | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 640 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 640 | Tim, the splash apron attaches to the back of the bumper brackets and to the bumper itself (center), using the bumper bolts. Unless you have somthing drastically wrong with the front end of your truck, there should be no problem whatsoever with clearance between the splash panel and the grille,and fenders.
My truck has fought me every step of the way during reconstructions EXCEPT for the bumpers and the splash panel.
