I have a 46 1/2 t and would like to replace the entire brake system. Does anyone know of a power brake setup with a duel master cylinder in kit form that is a direct fit for the 46??
I've talked to Jim Carter but they have the original single master cylinder.

Try starting with Classic Performance Products, I used there kit for a 55 2nd 3/4 ton, it worked well.

No direct bolt in. There are 2 types of pedal setups for the 39-46 trucks. One has the MC mounted to a bracket on the side of the bellhousing. The other, which was used on larger trucks has the MC mounted to the frame. IMHO it would be eazier to adapt the frame mounted style MC for a power booster. The system uses a clevis mounted off the brake pedal that ends up pulling a lever that is mounted to the frame. There would then be a push rod, and a Master cylinder mounted backwards with respect to the vehicle. the pulling on the lever actually creates a pushing on the MC. A frame mount bracket would be readily available for a booster and MC. Just need to drill a couple of holes.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried a Tilton or Wilwood master cylinder? They both make a side bolt style that should easily mount to the 1st series trucks without using an expensive bracket. They are relatively cheap and have rebuild kits readily available. I figure if they can stop a 200 MPH stock car, why not an old truck?

I purchased an under the floor power brake system from Pirate Jacks and it bolts right to the left side frame of my 46 1/2 ton.The fronts are disk and the backs are drums so you might have to get a system specific for your application, (drum, drum or disk drum). There prices are very competitive and sell all the popular makes. I saved quite a few bucks as up here in Canada rod shops are far and few and charge you whatever they want.
