The transmission was replaced in the 80's with a Saginaw 3-speed and the drive shaft was shortened to fit the new transmission. I have a rebuit Saginaw 4 speed and want to install in the truck with a floor shifter. Any advice on how to connect a new shifter? I haven't been able to find sources except Hurst and they state that modifications to the arm are required to clear the seat.
Thanks for any advice.
