Has anyone had any luck or problems with aftermarket radiator support for the 60-66 trucks? Mine is in rough shape and someone else tried to fix it and did not do a very good job.

Just so you'll know, '60-'62 and '63-'66 use different radiators and mounting systems. You need to state what year your truck is to get accurate info.

When you see them listed in the catalogs it says they fit the 60-66. Maybe they have both mounting holes.

I don't know what catalog you are using but the Classic Trucks online catalog show pictures and dimensions of the two different radiators. They mount differently.

1960-62 radiator

1963-66 radiator

One is 23½" wide and has flanges where it bolts to the radiator support. The other is 25¼" wide and sits in a U shaped support. There is no way they will mount to the same support.

Like I said, year model does make a difference.

I buy from 2 different sources on my sheet metal, and they both show 60-66 radiator supports being the same. $125.00 plus shipping.

Every catalog I have including Classic Parts list only one radiator support panel for these trucks. Do they ask you what year it is for when you order one? Will my 61 radiator bolt in or will I have to drill some holes?
