For those who know -Will the Clifford water heated intake pn42-4500 fit up with the Cast iron fentons on a 235? Does the intake need to be trimmed and do the ears line up? What other problems if any. Thanks in advance.

Yup it'll fit. You'll have to weld spacers to your manifold clamps to hold both the clifford and fentons on. The fenton clamp flange is much thicker than the clifford, especially at the front and rear clamps. You'll also need to notch your motor mount if using side mounts to clear front collector. The rear water heat fitting comes very close to the 3-speed columnn linkage, you'll have to twist the fitting to go between the shifter arms. The rear intake runner tended to hit the firewall rib, so I had to trim the rib before installation. Check to see if manifold will hit anything as engine rocks under accel/decel. You need at least 1/4" inch clearance between intake and any stationary underhood part. Best of luck getting your rod throttle linkage to work. I had to go Lokar.

There are 3 allen head plugs in the bottom of the intake's water passage. Make sure to seal them with thread tape, as they will leak and you'll wonder where the 'psst' 'psst' noise is coming from. eek
