BTW, for old timers - I'm back. I was active several years ago; sold the truck. Went quiet. Now I'm shopping again.

1947-1955 GMC trucks were called New Design trucks.
The 300 series GMC trucks are 1.5 ton trucks. As Cletis suggests, you might want to check out the oldGMCtrucks.com website and join the forum/discussion-board.
