I was off work today and mocked up the TPI, added the front shocks & removed excess brackets rom the frame. I added photos to my Webshots. I'm pleased with the results so far. I've added 3" drop coils to lower the front. Thinking of adding drop spindles as well. The stance looks pretty good to me for it being a '79 IFS. Now that it's back home I can tinker at my leisure. Hope to have it running this spring.

BTW I see you have removed the front sway bar. Gonna put another one back on? It also looks like you have your 4 gage set ready to install. Did it come with a sending unit? I used a 71 frame but I have limited clearance in front of the engine using the stock mount location. I was considering making something similar to what you have there to move the engine rearward 3 inches or so. Looked in it and there is standing water about a 1/4" deep. Dont know how long it's been there but it's rusted pretty good. I'm going to attempt to clean it out. May switch to a plastic cell, or just put the original back in the cab. Sergant, I am going to put the sway bar on eventually. I need to go to the salvage yard to get the mounting brackets that mount to the frame. The motor mounts are stock (rubber). As you see from the photos I did not use the stock frame mounts, but custom tubes. It worked out really well.

I had rust issues too so I opted for aluminum this time. it fit pretty well between the rails with a simple box I made up. All I can suggest for cleaning your old one out is do not use the vinegar method.
