Check for the casting no., on the passenger side of the block, to the front of the dist., around the area, of the fuel pump. I just went out, & measured the rear wheels, on my '53 Chevy COE with 9.00 X 20's, on the rear, & the outer tire measurements, from sidewall, to side wall were 92"in., & the inner tire measurement was 72"in. Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 | I have had a 161" wheel base 48 Chevy 6400 on our 18' flat trailer several times, the front fits just fine, and the rear tires stay behind the trailer fenders, so even though they are to wide to fit between it makes no difference, as they don't have to.

Remove the outer wheels and the rear width is 69 1/16"
38 1/8" from front axle to front of bumper
The standard tires/wheels were 7.50 x20 (6.0 rim section)
