old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 5 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 5 | just checking in for the first time, just added a father/son project of a '34 Cab/bed/grill to build a tradional style rod. Anybody have a pic of a frame/chassis only for this truck they could e-mail me? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,464 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,464 | Welcome to the shop! Interesting project. Sorry, I don't have any info on the frame in question. Some of the guys in here are using S-10 frames but I don'gt know how that would measure up to the '34's specs. Sit tight, someone will be along soon with some good info.
Oh yeah, pictures, pictures, and more pictures please. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 11 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Sep 2007 Posts: 11 | I have a 36 frame, I can take some pics of for you, this weekend. its ust a bare frame now. I'll have to check my other computer to see if I have any pics of it as a complete chassis.

I don't know if my pictures will help you much with the 1/2 frame, but my trucks are the same year on 1 1/2 ton frame. Please check out the Web shots below and you can see the my grandfathers truck being disassembled down to the frame. My two sons are helping me with this project. I know it will take us some years to complete the restoration. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 5 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 5 | Those pics were some of the first I saw via google I think it's real cool that it's a family thing. Then my house caught on my birthday. The electric campany pulled the meter so I have a generator hooked up to the garage just so I can work a little bit on it. I have had to take body parts the house I am staying at to enjoy my project. I shall be done with the house repairs by the end of the month and get back at it on the truck. The frame is the original 1 1/2 ton chassy. Just getting the axles out from under her to sand blast and paint.

Have no idea, the guy I got it from got it in Vegas somewhere, that's all the guy had, plus and extra cowl and some misc parts. That's ok, told my son it's just going to be a big model to build like the plastic ones.. | | |
