A friend gave me a inline 6 not knowing what he had, he just wanted it gone so I took it. I searched the numbers and came up with a 292. And it also came with a 4 speed Muncie tranny. What I am wondering is what is it going to take to put that motor in my '50 3100 truck? I can tell right off the bat that I will have to change the motor mounts on the chassis and I think I'm going to have to change out the rear end. What else? | | |

You may have to move the radiator a bit or switch to an electric fan- I honestly can't remember if there are clearance issues with the "newer" I6 upgrades; though lots of folks here have done it and better than me will likely chime in to say things I've not remembered. | | |
