Can't get the cylinder to come out. Using a paper clip in the small hole, and the ignition key, tried turning forward, backward, starting from the acc position, everything. The key just slides out of the lock when when I pull back on it with the paper clip in there after turning the key. What am I missing here? BTW, it's a 1970 GMC. Use something that will grip the cyl. Snap ring pliers or needle nose pliers. Turn it to acess. & you can feel the spring pressure on the paper clip. turn it a little further & grab it with something. If it still won,t come you may have to spray some WD 40 or equivelent in it. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing. 1972 Chevy c10 Cheyenne SuperIn the Gallery Forum | | | | | Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 252 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 252 | Snap ring pliers and PB Blaster did the trick, Thanks | | |
