Is this truck still out there for sale? I cannot make out the phone number on the for sale sign. Do you have any idea what condition the floor and inside of the cab are in? In what part of Ontario is Gravenhurst located?

Gravenhurst is about 2 hours straight north of Toronto, right on the main highway

If you are serious e-mail me at olddozer@hotmail.com I will go down and get the particulars and as many photos as I can get she,s been there a long time and it would be nice to see her get a good home. As far as location largest city that is close is Barrie Ont. and the truck is 1 hours drive north on hwy 11. 1953 panel is right you can't miss it it is right on the hwy in the south bound lanes just north of Canning road. According to map Quest it is about 6 hrs driving from your location.

Check the driver door jamb, for the ID plate, & number. Also looking at the pictures it kinda looks like it has the larger front fenders, that a 400, 450, or 470 series GMC would have. In this case there should be a "GMC Truck Parts Identification " tag, on the back of the glove box lid, that will have all the trucks particulars ie: eng. size, trans. type, axle type, etc. Count the number of lugs, on the wheels. If there's more than 5, on the front, it is definitely one of the heavier rated trucks. The heavier trucks also came in the longer wheelbases.
