We have a 1&half ton fc303 GMC.(248 engine & Muncie 420 tranny) I've established that the clutch plate and the pressure plate are a larger size than smaller trucks. We're waiting for money to order these parts. What about the throwout bearing? Is there a different one needed for the bigger trucks? Or can I use the same one from 1/2 ton trucks? I see one here: http://www.truckandcarshop.com/trucks47_59/t47_058.html | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy turpentyne, according to my clutch catalog the throwout bearing should be the same as the light trucks, hope that helps. | | |
