Hello all,
I am needing some input and help on my 1972 Chevy K20. I need to replace the cab, but the only decent cab I can locate is from a 1967 C20 pickup. I know the parking brake is different, and that the fuse panel is in a slightly different location than the '72. Is there anything else that would complicate the swap? As far as I can tell, the cabs are the same except for the above. Any help would be great! Thanks,

colby the other issues are the shifter and transfer handle in the floor also the panel is diffeent but is close enugh that it would work ive got two of these cabs in my yard and they are both 2wd and 1971 and 1970 the vents and some of the under dash parts are slightly different but close enugh

The body mounts are different between the C and K trucks... unless you have a C30 then the same as K trucks. Same overall location but I believe the frame mounts are lower on the K to allow for taller rubber mounts... ? Or maybe higher on the K to allow for less flex...? anyways, they're different.(I think the former is the true statement.)

AC cabs are different in the area where the suitcase mounts. The AC cab also has a cowl vent.

Thanks for the replies. Neither of the cabs are A/C equipped so no problem there. I am wondering if the wiring harness on the 72 chassis will plug directly into the 1967's fuse block, or if i'll have to rewire the cab. I have the tranny floorpan cover from the 72 so I hope it will fit the new cab as well. I will let you'all know how it goes! Thanks,
