What my problem is, is when I put the distributor into the engine it doesn't go in all the way. What I am wondering is will a '53 distributor work in a '55 engine or do I need to buy a new one? | | |

#36504 11/24/2003 6:04 PM | Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 2,773 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 2,773 | Sometimes you have to turn the oil pump to align with the distributor shaft so the slot in the pump and the end of the shaft line up. Use a long screwdriver.
