I thought that I'd put this out there, since a lot of people seem to always be asking about original paint colors, both interior and exterior. It does not cross over the colors into modern day codes, but it does allow you to see the original colors for almost every year.

Once you get to the site, click on "Automotive Finishes". At the next page, go to the top and click on "color". After doing that, go to the left column, click on "Color Chip Library-Historical", and then again on "Dupont Refinish". Scroll down until you see "Launch the historical library", and click on that. From there, it's pretty self explanatory. It may be easier to just put the year in that you're looking for, and scroll through all the different options.

All this may sound a little confusing, but it's really quite easy. Once you do it a couple of times, it's a piece of cake. Hope this helps out a bit. Let me know what you think.

Just keep in mind that the color you see on your monitor may not, in fact probably isn't, the exact correct color. Your monitor, it's driver and if you try to print what you see, the printer driver and ink combinations of your printer determine the color you see and print. It's OK to give you a general idea but only that.
