For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 52 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 52 | I have the 305 mocked up in the engine compartment of my '49 1/2 ton with stock suspension. I read in one post here that the motor will end up sitting very low between the frame rails. It seems to fit so low that almost half of the fan is below the radiator. I considered trimming the firewall then modifying the floor with a more pronounced hump, but I would only gain about four inches til I was into the seat. The other option is an electric fan, which I am strongly against for appearance sake. Can someone please chime in with some input and or pics.
