| | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 6 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 6 | HELLO STOVEBOLT I HAVE A COUPLE QUESTIONS,I AM GOING TO HAVE A 1958=235 REBUILT.MY QUESTION IS WHEN YOU GET THE ENGINE REBUILT DO YOU HAVE TO BALANCE THE ASSEMBLY,WHAT DOSE THIS MEAN.ALSO MY SECOND QUESTION IS ON MY 216 THAT WAS IN MY 1949=3100 THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNTS HAS TWO HOLES IN FRONT ON THE ENGINETO BOLT THE ENGINE DOWN.THE 1958 DON'T HAVE ANY HOLES. CAN YOU TAKE THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNT PLATE OF THE 216 AND PUT IT ON THE 235 OR DO YOU HAVE TO DRILL HOLES IN THE 235 PLATE.

you will find answers to your two questions by using the search function. Also there is a good explanation of your intended switch in the tech tips. For the short answer, you should be able to drill holes in the lip of the front plate to fit the old motor mount.
