on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 12 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 12 | Anyone out there, who has installed Fenton Headers on a 235 and had to re-manufacture the linkage to the carb? I have tried a few different configurations and am still not satified? Cant' use the old linkage as the rear header is in the way? Anyone got pics of what they've done? Or is a linkage available somewhere? | | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 547 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 547 | I ran into the same problem and I did end up making my own linkage. I also have an Edelbrock 2x1 intake which is a factor. I went to Lowe's and bought some round-stock. I bent it with a pipe torch, pliers, and a vice. It took some playing with to get it right. I don't have pictures right off, but I can post some. You can look at the link below and you might see something helpful. I'll get back to ya though.

On top of that, I'm using IH spec Holley 1904s, with the throttle arm on the wrong side, so that had to be adapted, too. I don't have nay good pix, I'll see if I can get in there and take some.

Thanks for the feedback, I am running a 235 from 56 Chevy with original intake, I guess I'll keep at it until I get something that works and looks good. Any other help is appreciated. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,733 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,733 | Using my Picturetrail site, go to the 53' Chev page. Check out the Carb Linakage and Strretside photos for the detail. I think there is enough shown to be of some help to you. | | | | | Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 578 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2001 Posts: 578 | Dave, I accidentally clicked on the picture of your shop. I am now in a coma of lust. I can't go on.
