I had disassembled my speedo to clean and lube the internal parts and during the process I broke the shaft that the speedo needle mounts to. My truck is a 53 GMC long bed with a 90mph dial. Will a shaft from a 80mph speedo work be as accurate as the 90mph shaft?

This would lead me to assume that the internal gearing is different.
