HELP PLEASE. Can someone advise me as to how to remove the tailshaft from a 89 Camero T5?
I can seperate the gearbox and tail about 3/4 inch but that is all. What am I missing? Is there a pin or some hidden bolt?

You must not have removed the pin that holdes the shift selector on the shift shaft. You do not actually remove it but drive it down out of the shafts way, once apart it is removed completly to be put back in from the top on assembly.
