I just bought a 235 from a '59 pickup to put in my '51 3800. Being a later 235 it has side engine mounts in the front. I've read the standard instructions regarding changing the mounts from my existing engine to this one but was wondering if anyone has any experience is keeping the side engine mounts. Can this be done?

Yep, my current engine is mounted in front but I was looking to see if anyone had made use of the side mounts of the later engine. For example, it seems brackets could be fabricated easily enough but I was hoping to hear from someone who has done it.
