hey guys i am rebuilding a '57 235 to go in my 53 half ton. i need some information. if anyone has a shop manual that they can scan the engine specs i would greatly appreciate it. the main specs i need now is the bore size. i have the specs for a 53 of 3.5620"-3.5640". if it is the same let me know. the other specs will come in handy over the next couple days. thanks
also if anyone knows of the cheapest place to get rings, bearings,lifters, rods and springs are let me know.

I don't have a scanner but I do have the '58 truck shop manual on my desk for quick reference ,
let me know what spec you need and I'll give it to you .

I don't have the time to copy the whole thing though .

hello benzdoc. here it goes, all info from 1959 motors manual for a 57 235. bore 3.562, stroke 3.94, rod bearings 2.311- 2.312, main bearings no.1 2.6835-2.6845, no.2 2.7145-2.7155, no.3 2.7455-2.7465, no.4 2.7765-2.7775. main bearing clearance,.001-.003". standard compression ratio is 8/1. 140 h.p. at 4200 rpm. yikes![i don't know if i would wind mine up like that for too long]. max. torque is 210 ft. lbs. at 2400 rpm. that should be good for starters. if you need more maybe we can find it. good luck.
